Scottsdale’s hottest new hotel The REMI Scottsdale, Autograph Collection has landed, featuring four restaurants.

F Sixteen, a playful American diner inspired by the iconic F-16 fighter jet, serves honey butter fried chicken & waffles, to baby back ribs. Kauboi, fuses Japanese tradition with Southwestern soul, serving bluefin tuna tartlet and king salmon paired with burnt onion dashi.

Luxair sales open for summer 2026

Luxair has announced that ticket sales for the summer 2026 season are now open, featuring the most extensive flight schedule in the airline’s history. Luxair plans to operate a total of 101 destinations throughout 2026, with 97 of them available during the summer season, running from 29 March and 24 October 2026.

Luxair will introduce a brand-new service between Edinburgh and Luxembourg, commencing on 3 July 2026. The route will initially operate twice weekly, with flights scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.

The summer program includes nine additional routes, carefully selected to meet growing demand for sun destinations, cultural getaways, and off-the-beaten-path adventures, including Alicante, Girona, Helsinki and Bilbao.

Disneyland’s 70th celebration turns spooky

Since spring 2025, Disneyland in California has been celebrating its 70th anniversary with the ‘Celebrate Happy!’ programme of events.

Continuing into summer 2026 these celebrations include fan‑favourite parades like Paint the Night, nightly spectaculars such as the World of Color Happiness! and special show ‘Walt Disney – A Magical Life’, the new audio‑animatronic show at Main Street Opera House which traces the cinematic life of the man behind it all.

The Halloween-themed element of the celebration begins on 22 August, when the resort transforms for the spooky season. Running until 31 October, the celebration features seasonal decor, themed ride overlays, and over 30 nights of Oogie Boogie Bash, Disney California Adventure’s immersive trick‑or‑treat event.

Wildlife Worldwide launches writing retreat

Specialist operator Wildlife Worldwide has introduced a new UK winter trip titled Islay in Winter for Writers, featuring a combination of wildlife watching and writing.

The small group trip to Scotland’s isles of Islay and Jura will encourage guests to not only marvel at geese and golden eagles, otters and seals, but also to learn how to translate those experiences onto the page, under the guidance of two leading wildlife writers.

Houston Restaurant Weeks 2025

From 1 August – 1 September, over 400 restaurants across Houston will offer special prix fixe brunch, lunch and dinner menus in support of the Houston Food Bank – the largest of its kind in the US.

Diners can explore the city’s diverse food scene, from Michelin-starred BCN and Le Jardinier to local favourites like Maison Pucha Bistro and Hugo Ortega’s award-winning restaurants.

Menus start from £34, with each meal helping provide up to 15 meals for local families in need.

Founded by the late journalist Cleverley Stone and now led by her daughter Katie Stone, Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised over $22 million since it began in 2003.

Malawi’s first electric eDhow to Launch at Kaya Mawa

Coming September 2025, Kaya Mawa will debut Malawi’s very first electric dhow. This follows the success of the Dhow at Tongabezi in Livingstone and marks another step in Green Safaris’ journey toward sustainable safari innovation.
