Air Canada opens new Belize route
Air Canada is to launch a new, nonstop flight connecting Montrรฉal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) with Philip Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City. This route, beginning 8 December 2025, marks the first direct air service linking Montreal, Quebec, and Belize.
This new flight opens the door to same-day travel between Belize and more than 20 major European cities. European leisure and business passengers will now be able to leave cities such as London, Paris and Amsterdam in the morning, make a connection in Montreal, and arrive in Belize that same evening.

Belize is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Great Blue Hole and the worldโs second-largest barrier reef, plus hundreds of reef-frilled Cayes, the worldโs first Jaguar preserve and several ancient Maya sites.ย
The new route will initially operate with the following schedule:
Montreal (YUL) to Belize City (BZE), flight number AC 1876: Departs: Mondays at 17:45 / Arrives: 22:05
Belize City (BZE) to Montreal (YUL), flight number AC 1877: Departs: Tuesdays at 11:00 / Arrives: 16:40
Viking Cruises launches river longship Honir and names 100th ship
The Viking Honir will set sail this month, on Viking Cruises’ Rhine Getaway itinerary. It will then go on to sail the Passage to Eastern Europe itinerary in 2026. This ship was one of nine new river ships recently named at a simultaneous ceremony in Basel, Switzerland.

During the ceremony the cruise line also named the Viking Nerthus, the Viking Gyda and the Viking Tonle which will sail the Seine, Douro and Mekong rivers, respectively. The two other new ships, named the Viking Thoth and the Viking Amun, will sail the Nile River.
Viking now have more than 100 ships across its river, ocean and expedition fleet – more than any other cruise line. The naming ceremony took place on board the Viking Honir and was connected virtually to the eight other new ships, which were located across five other countries around the world.
Adirondack Rail Trail project finishes
The third and final phase of theย Adirondack Rail Trailย is now complete, making the 34-mile, multi-use recreational corridor between Lake Placid and Tupper Lake available for all-season biking, hiking cross-country skiing or snowmobiling.
Visitors can also access to attractions in Lake Placid, such as the Olympic Legacy Sites like the Olympic Jumping Complex and Mount Van Hoevenberg, plus interactive exhibits and a treetop walkway.

The Trail is a linear museum, following the path of a once-thriving rail line, constructed in 1892 and operating until 1972. The rail infrastructure from Tupper Lake to Lake Placid has now been removed and the trail features interpretive signs to help visitors understand the history of the railway, the cultures of adjacent communities and the natural resources of the surrounding lands and waters. The Adirondack Rail Trail is free of charge.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony returns
The 40th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on 8 November 2025. The inductee exhibit will feature artifacts such as the handwritten lyrics to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper, the outfits worn by Meg White and Jack White on the cover of The White Stripesโ Icky Thump, a 1979 Gibson Les Paul electric guitar played by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, and the outfit worn by Andre 3000 in the Hey Ya music video.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tracks the evolution of music and culture through more than 50 exhibits. This striking waterfront museum celebrates the legends of music, from Elvis and The Beatles to Beyoncรฉ, with immersive exhibits and rare memorabilia that bring their stories to life. Cabo Blanco named first carbon-neutral beach
Cabo Blanco, located on Peruโs northern coast, has been named as the worldโs first certified carbon-neutral beach destination. Renowned for its surf and coastline, Cabo Blanco has implemented innovative measures to drastically reduce its carbon emissions and promote sustainable tourism.

Elizabeth Bishop House & Garden opens to public

Key West’s Elizabeth Bishop House & Garden, where the United States poet lived and wrote during the 1930s and 1940s, is scheduled to open to the public on 1 November.
The Elizabeth Bishop Garden โ drawing inspiration from Bishopโs life in the Florida Keys and described in her letters, poems and paintings โ showcases more than 80 plant species including Key West heritage plants such as rock rose, sugar apple and night-blooming cereus cactus.
The garden has a small seating area and rear yard presentation space for 50 participants.
Bishopโs fully restored home, a registered Literary Landmark by United for Libraries and home of the Key West Literary Seminar, is to be open to the public on a limited basis as a venue for exhibitions, lectures and readings exploring Bishopโs literary legacy.
Niagara Falls fireworks return
The Niagara Falls fireworks series returns this winter with a five-minute display every Friday and Saturday from 15 November to 20 December 2025, as well as nightly illumination from 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026.

All displays will occur at 8pmwith the exception of three special displays at 8pm, 10pm, and midnight on New Year’s Eve. Best viewed from Niagara Falls State Park, this spectacle lets visitors see the Falls in a whole new light – an unforgettable experience for all ages that makes winter in Niagara Falls even more magical.
Dark Sky Festival arrives in Bluff, Utah
Bluff in Utahย will host itsย first Dark Sky Festivalย on 14-15 November 2025. During the festival, visitors will be able to deepen their understanding of the cosmos while learning directly from Indigenous Peoples. The Navajo, who have been studying the constellations for centuries, are now sharing their traditions, wisdom, and fascinating stories with visitors looking to learn about their culture and perspective.

The festival lineup will include Elder Don Mose, Jr.ย Don, a professional Navajo Storyteller, who will tell the Navajo Winter Story of โCoyote and the Starsโ followed by a star party, telescope viewings and constellation tours across the two-day event.
Cape Town’s President Hotel launches neurodivergent-friendly Rooms
The President Hotel in Cape Town, originally reopened in 1998 by President Nelson Mandela, has introduced neurodivergent-friendly Rooms, developed in partnership with Autism South Africa. All staff members have completed specialised training to ensure a service experience that is understanding, respectful, and inclusive.

The newly designed rooms feature a variety of elements aimed at reducing sensory overload and promoting relaxation, including: weighted blankets and sensory quilts; a sensory tent for children; customisable lighting, lava lamps, white noise machines, and aroma diffusers; sleep kits with earplugs; fidget boxes and sensory packs; and a streamlined check-in processย designed to minimise stress and sensory triggers.
